Man, do I need a laptop! Jack, Justin, Rich and everybody fucking else has one. I don’t want to bother guys to use their shit but this is my lame excuse for the lack of updates during the tour. Good shit happened of course, on and off the board. NJ skateshop was the first hit and fortunately the rain held out long enough for the guys to get skating. Before heading up to Hartford for Skate Lair, we cool guyed it in Brooklyn for two days soaking in Bedford Ave. Jack and Bobby had the luxury of sleeping at their own houses while the rest of the crew bounced back and forth between Clifton, NJ and the city. We got a good start and headed to Hartford on Saturday night, Munday is the man and will always be the man! Munday has a pool table in the basement with a huge East coast assortment of old and new boards, good vibe. Both nights at Munday’s house the sun came up before my eyes gave in. Stock up on beer in CT because they shut it down too early, and who doesn’t want to drink on Sunday? CT gets a point deducted for that shit. Unlike the Crooklyn to Hartford drive, we decide to stay at Munday’s house again and drive to Westerly, RI in the morning for our stop at 7-Ply. The rain kept everything going the way it should of but the kids that stuck around got a bunch of product. But the day wasn’t a bust since Ted, the owner the shop, lined us up with a session in the Barn ramp, a secluded, private drinking hole where skating is the only thing on your mind. Reminded me of our warehouse we had in the city but the drive wasn’t nearly as scary. Donny Barley made a late appearance which was greeted by hoots and hollars. Before we bade farewell to Brannon and the Shark, who had to be back by 4 the next day, we enjoyed a moth chewing by a local complete with vomit. We got two rooms at a crusty joint which was really crusty since the room that I slept in was recently used but never cleaned up, fucking disgusting! New Bedford here we come. Solstice skateshop was next on the list, a shop ran by a ripper, Jay. A signing that turned into a little session down at their homemade crete platform. Ry and I lurked around to a little to find some other stuff, isn’t that what we do? Our VOX rep Devoe was on hand for Solstice and he also owns Orchard skateshop in Boston which was our next stop. Less than an hour drive
